Description

Shimano RT-EM910 Steps Disc Brake Rotor

The RT-EM910 Ice Tech E-bike Rotor features a built-in speed sensor magnet, ensuring consistent braking performance through precise energy control. Designed specifically for Shimano STEPS-equipped E-bikes, it provides reliable performance and compatibility with E8000 and E6000 systems, for rear wheel use only.

Shimano Heat Management

The rotor uses an advanced stainless steel and alloy three-layer sandwich construction to manage heat efficiently. The clad steel–alloy–steel structure allows heat generated during braking to dissipate rapidly through the aluminium core, achieving surface temperature drops of around 50°C. When used with Ice Tech pads, temperatures can decrease from approximately 400°C to 300°C, resulting in improved performance, reduced fade and longer pad life.

Shimano Cooling Efficiency

FREEZA rotor technology extends the alloy core beyond the braking surface to form cooling fins, further improving heat dissipation. This design contributes to quieter operation, enhanced braking consistency and reduced wear under demanding riding conditions.

Shimano Construction and Compatibility

The rotor is lightweight, rigid and durable, using Shimano’s proven Centre Lock system for increased strength and secure, easy installation. A precision-cut and drilled braking surface aids cooling under heavy load and enhances pad clearing in muddy conditions, while the large alloy spider provides strong, lightweight support. The super-polished braking surface delivers smooth, powerful braking across all conditions.
