Featuring an SR Suntour XCR-Air fork with 80/100mm of travel, bumps and roots are soaked up when on the trail, allowing you to stay comfortable and efficient through every variety of terrain, whilst the Specialized Trail 29 Geometry enables you to chop and change position on the bike depending on the route ahead.

If you like spinning up the climbs and attacking the descents, then the Shimano Deore rear derailleur is ideal. Providing the reliable shifting you need when changing through the gears, Deore offers a wide 11-36t gear range to make your ride as easy or as hard as possible. Deore is also easily maintainable, ensuring if you do get a mechanical on the trailside, you won’t need to push it to your nearest bike shop.

Inspiring confidence when the gradient takes a turn, the Shimano BR-M315 hydraulic disc brakes offer ample levels of powerful braking that’ll keep you calm and collected on tough terrain. Adding to the grip, Specialized have incorporated their Ground Control Sport 29x2.1” tyres that are proven in both cross-country and trail riding for their puncture protection and enhanced control. Their ramped up knobs with Flak Jacket protection are part of the trickle down technology from Specialized’s high-end race bikes, giving the same sense of performance at a more affordable price.

Possibly the most important part of the Rockhopper is the trademark 29” wheels that they have become known for. Proven as the fastest wheels on the market, the 29er rolls over roots, bumps and ruts easier than other 27.5 and 26” wheels and promotes continuous rolling speed as it takes inconsistencies in the trail more efficiently than others.
