Whatever your frame size, Specialized have Rider-First Engineered the FACT 10r carbon fibre tube shapes to optimise the handling, so that the performance of the Roubaix is consistent across the range. The material used is seriously lightweight and stiff, so you can climb with ease and mix it up with the sprinters of the bunch.

What sets the Roubaix apart from its competitors is the inclusion of some key design details that make this the most comfortable road bike in its class. The Future Shock suspension system delivers 20mm of vertical compliance to the front end of the bike but, importantly, this is located above the headset, so the power transfer through the bike is not affected. To add some extra damping to the rear end, the infamous "cobble gobbler" CG-R seatpost has a carbon fibre construction with integrated elastomer inserts.

Shimano supplies their superb Ultegra Di2 groupset with crisp and instant electronic shifting at the touch of a button. Stopping power is modulated and powerful thanks to the hydraulic disc brakes. Rolling on a set of DT Swiss R470 Disc wheels, handling is nimble and assured, with the 28mm Specialized Turbo tyres providing plenty of grip.
