Once again Specialized are at the forefront of bicycle technology with the unveiling of the Specialized Roubaix Pro Ultegra Di2 Road Bike 2017. The new Roubaix frameset is designed to optimise comfort, endurance and performance with Specialized's Endurance Geometry and the new Future Shock suspension.

Developed alongside F1 giants McLaren, Future Shock suspension is essentially a piston that sits in the head tube to offer 20mm of travel. This is great for rough roads as it improves vertical compliance by eliminating fork splay. This ultimately means, rather than you bike losing energy over bumps, it can absorb the shock and move smoothly through them. In Specialized's Rolling Efficiency Model the Roubaix outperformed any other bike on the market, so expect a seriously smooth and fast ride.

The frameset is constructed from Specialized FACT 11r carbon for a high level of stiffness and a low, pro-level weight. The frame and forks thru-axle design only acts to bolster performance by elevating stiffness and strength.

This superb frameset is coupled with electronic shifting in the form of Shimano's Ultegra 6870 Di2 Groupset. The 11-32t cassette on the back and compact 50/34t crankset on the front provide a full gearing range to allow you to cover a wide variety of terrain.

Coupled with this gearing is the superb stopping power of Shimano's hydraulic disc brakes. These brakes provide superb stopping power in both the wet and the dry with heat dispersing Ice-Tech resin pads to help keep your braking smooth and reliable no matter how steep the gradient is.

Roval CL 32 Disc wheels offer tubeless-ready conversion and a lightweight and versatile 32mm depth that combines aerodynamic performance with a low weight.

A further added advantage of the new Roubaix is SWAT storage over the bottom bracket. this offers sleek and aerodynamic storage for items like a mini tool, inner tube and tyre levers (available separately).
