This Specialized Tarmac Expert Disc Race Road Bike 2016 combines some of the most exciting technologies in the cycling industry. Hydraulic disc brakes are present, and seem to be gaining traction with the UCI testing them in certain events.

These Shimano BR-785 hydraulic disc brakes are supported excellently by Shimano's brilliant Ultegra 11 speed groupset. Specialiazed have added to this further by incorporating a carbon crankset, in the form of the FSA SL-K Light, to save weight and improve power transfer.

Completing this line up are the phenomenal Roval Rapide CL 40 wheels. These use lightweight carbon fibre to create an aerodynamic profile that will see you slicing through the wind and looking rapid to boot. These are adorned with Specialized S-Works Turbo 120TPI tyres. These tyres are 24 millimetres in width, offering a fantastic balance between comfort and speed.

Rider-First Engineered™, the new Tarmac range has been tuned to perfection, with real time, on the road data collection to produce the best cornering, sprinting and climbing high performance range ever to wear the Specialized badge.

FACT 10r carbon has been used in the frame construction to make the frameset stiffer than it’s predecessor. This extra rigidity provides direct power transfer and a better handling and sharper ride.
