Description
The Stages Cycling Cannondale Si HG Power Meter Crank Left Only (2nd Gen) allows you to measure your truest metric of cycling performance. Power, unlike heart rate or cadence, remains relatively unaffected by outside conditions such as temperature, wind speed, road surface and gradient meaning that it is the best way of accurately measuring your cycling output. This is the reason why the vast majority of the professional peloton use power meters, as the measurement that shows true, changes in fitness over time. Power also provides the most accurate gauge of real-time performance, allowing you to tailor your race performance for optimal output through every stage.
The Cannondale Si Power Meter Crank Arm is incredibly lightweight only adding 20 grams to the base crank arm, however its benefits are unfathomable. The coin cell battery powered reader has a battery life of 200 hours. This long lasting battery life is coupled with a superb power range of 0-199 watts and a cadence range of 30-220RPM. These ranges, measured to an accuracy of ±2, allow for the most accurate reading available, allowing you to tailor your race or training plan exactly.
The power meter works through an accelerometer based cadence measurement, which doubles the power reading of the single crank arm to give you an accurate reading. This is why the Stages Cycling Cannondale Si Power Meter Crank Arm only included the left arm, thus cutting down on the large weight penalty that other power meters often come with.
The crank is compatible with the majority of frames and Cannondale Hollowgram Si cranks. In terms of device compatibility the Stages Cannondale Si Power Meter Crank Arm runs the gambit as it is compatible with ANT and Bluetooth smart ready devices. The range of software that it can work with is wide ranging too. Strava, Training Peaks, Garmin Training Center alongside many others, all work with the Stages set up, allowing it to seamlessly integrate into any training or racing set up. Overall this is an essential piece of kit for any rider looking to step their training and racing up a notch.
Is my bike compatible with Stages Power Meters?
To help find your current crank model, check the inside of the crank arm for the model and length.
The next step is to check the power meter's compatibility with your frame; if the space between your crank arm and seat stay fits a 10mm allen wrench between 5cm and 12cm from the centre of your bottom bracket, this should be compatible.
