Trek Boone 5 Disc Cyclocross Bike 2014
The Trek Boone 5 Disc CX Bike 2014 provides a thrilling ride with Trek's supreme 600 Series OCLV carbon and developed with input from multiple World Champions and leading cyclocross riders Katie Compton and Sven Nys.
The frameset features performance cable routing. This keeps the cables out of sight, enhancing aerodynamics, improving gear shifting and brake performance. The carbon forks are designed to offer a large tyre clearance allowing you to ride a multitude of different tyre sizes.
A fantastic package, Trek have included a Bontrager Ride Tuned Carbon Seatmast. This is light, comfortable and features a no-cut design, resulting a seamless and stylish seatpost.
Disc brakes are a relatively new addition to cyclocross bikes and have been quickly adopted by the sport. Avid BB5 mechanical disc brakes with 160 millimetre rotors provide immense stopping power.
The Post Mounting method of attaching the brakes improves efficiency whilst keeps weight down to a minimum.
Trek has included Bontrager Race components, for added comfort and a lightweight setup.
Bontrager wheels offer bulletproof reliability, roll incredibly well and are lightweight.
The solid drivetrain setup uses Shimano 105 and Tiagra parts and a FSA Energy crankset, 10-speed with cyclocross specific gearing.
Versatile, the vanishing mudguard mounts make this a tough commuter steed or winter training bike yet pin a number on to your jersey and it becomes a focused cyclocross racer.

Technical Specification
Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. Visit our Bike Assembly page to see how you assemble your new bike once you receive it.
All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
