Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 Disc Gravel Bike 2020
The Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 Gravel Bike is engineered specifically for all-road capability, opening up new opportunities to explore previously unridden places. Trek’s exceptional 300 Series Alpha Aluminum is ideally balanced for stiffness and weight, making it strong and durable, even under the stresses of a full adventure load.
The innovative Stranglehold Dropout design lets you adjust the wheelbase and fine-tune the geometry to best suit your preferred ride feel. Furthermore, it’s easy to swap-in a single-speed setup for those who want to simplify the mechanics. When it comes to tackling the steep climbs though, the Shimano 105 50/34 compact chainset and 11-speed, 11-34 cassette, will keep the legs turning and maintain traction over the steepest roads.
The huge tyre clearance gives you optimal flexibility to fit the right treads to suit the terrain, whether that’s a 28c for cruising tarmac or all the way up to a 45c for maximum traction and control over very harsh trails. The bike comes fitted with industry-respected Schwalbe G-One Allround 35 c tyres and the Bontrager rims are tubeless-ready for an extra bit of confidence when rolling over flinty gravel.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
