Trek Emonda SLR 9 H2 Road Bike 2015
Bikes do not get much lighter than this. Trek set out to produce a bike that was the lightest in every model and every size. What they produced was the featherweight Trek Emonda SLR 9 H2 Road Bike 2015.
The name Emonda comes from the French word 'émonder', which means to prune or to strip away. This is exactly what Trek have done by eliminating everything that was unnecessary. The bike was developed with help from the Trek Factory Race Team, to produce a rider tuned and balanced bike, resulting in the ultimate ride experience.

Frame
The SLR frame is the top frame in the Emonda line up. Featuring Trek's OCLV 700 series carbon. The 700 series is the lightest, strongest carbon in the cycling industry.
The 700 series offers the ultimate stiffness to weight ratio, thanks to HexSL carbon fibre. This is a defence grade and controlled substance and creates a fantastically stiff frame without the weight penalty. An exclusive Trek process and only found in the 700 series.
OCLV carbon allows for net moulding, this process allows for Trek to create tight- tolerance, precise shapes. This ensures the frame offers the best ride quality an performance. The technology has been used on the integrated, cupless BB90 bottom bracket and cupless net moulded head-tube.
Only found on the SLR frameset, the direct mount brake that connects directly to the frame saves on unnecessary parts and increases overall braking performance.
Every piece of the frame is integrated, from the carbon front derailleur mount, to the carbon dropouts and the carbon water bottle bosses. These are all moulded into the frame to eliminate redundant material and reduce weight.
The H2 fit is a geometry that suits most riders. With a good balance between an all out racing position and a more relaxed one. This makes the bike ideal for racing but also more than capable of racking up long miles on.
Tipping the scales at a mere 6.1 kilograms this is a climber's dream. It is not just the frame that contributes to this impressive weight. Shimano have included their flagship Dura-Ace Di2 electronic groupset. Exceptionally smooth, reliable and precise, with a compact chainset making climbing and spinning along a breeze.
Bontrager have always had a close working relationship with Trek. The American company have adorned the bike in carbon fibre parts. With a Bontrager XXX Carbon handlebar and stem and a very comfortable but lightweight Bontrager Paradigm XXX saddle.
Finished off with Bontrager Aeolus 3 D3 wheels and Bontrager R4 Hard-Case Lite tyres. This is a fast, lightweight and durable setup, offering exceptional grip and performance.

Technical Specification
Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
