Trek Fuel EX 9.8 29" Disc Mountain Bike
A special bike for all occasions, the Trek Fuel EX 9.8 29" Mountain Bike has the versatility and capability to feel controlled and fast over even some of the rowdiest trails. A lightweight OCLV carbon frame, Trek's own construction, uses a unique material lay-up in important areas for enhanced toughness, and in the highest impact areas for rock and debris strikes, like under the down tube, there is carbon armour to keep your frame looking as good as new.
130mm travel from the Fox Performance 34 Float fork keeps the front of the bike flowing and combined with the 29" Bontrager Line Carbon 30 wheels you will carry momentum over any obstacles, first time. At the rear, there's a Fox Performance Float shock that uses Trek's intelligent RE:aktiv thru shaft suspension control, enabling the back of the bike to keep up with the terrain with no lag in the shock response. In short, the compression and rebound are smoother, so you stick to the trail better.
The 54-tooth rapid drive hub delivers instant engagement when you need to keep the chain tight or are negotiating technical obstacles and it combines perfectly with the 1x12 SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain. The Mino Link adjustable geometry lets you fine-tune the ride feel by slackening the head angle and dropping the bottom bracket height to suit your style, and thanks to the Straight Shot frame design of the down tube the stiffness, strength and, ultimately, power transfer are top line.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
