The Trek Fuel EXe 9.8 GX AXS Electric Mountain Bike pairs the versatility and capability of a trail bike with a small, unobtrusive electric motor to increase the fun factor.
At the bike’s heart is the unique, 300W TQ-HPR50 motor. Its Harmonic Pin-Ring (HPR) design means that it is quieter, lighter and more compact than belt drive motors, providing natural feeling assistance up to 15.5 mph / 25 km/h. The responsive nature of the power delivery is superb when climbing technical trails or flicking through windy singletrack and underlines the trail-ready nature of the Fuel EXe. The 360Wh battery can be charged in situ in the downtube or removed if required, and the top tube display gives access to the bike’s power modes and other ride information.
The carbon frame offers 140mm of travel from the RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ shock, paired with the 150mm RockShox Lyrik Select+ fork. The switchable Mino Link allows the geometry to be altered by about 1/2° to fine-tune the handling and mechanics will love the internal channels in the frame that make cable replacement simpler.
Made from OCLV carbon, the 29” Bontrager Line Elite 30 wheels are robust and quick, with the 29mm internal width providing the perfect platform for the grippy 2.50” SE5 Team Issue tyres. Both the wheels and tyres are tubeless-ready so can be used without inner tubes for more traction and fewer punctures.
Providing fantastic shifting in any conditions, SRAM’s GX Eagle AXS drivetrain is fully wireless so there are no cables to clutter up the cockpit or get contaminated with dirt. The huge 52-tooth cassette provides a massive range of gears for any terrain and the system can be connected to SRAM’s AXS app for information on battery power, maintenance and function customisation. Powerful 4-pot SRAM Code R hydraulic disc brakes keep things in check when required, aided and abetted by the large 200mm rotors.
A one-piece carbon handlebar and stem gives the bike a clean look and the Bontrager Line Elite Dropper seatpost gets the saddle quickly out of the way when the trail gets steep.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
