A true enduro bike, the Trek Slash 9.8 XT Mountain Bike is a durable and race-ready option for those seeking speed and composure on the descents. Efficient and burly, this bike dispatches heavy hits with ease and breezes through undulating terrain to retain its crown as one of the fastest rides available. As used on the Enduro World Series, the Slash takes even the rowdiest of terrain in its stride, with the 160mm of plush rear suspension delivering unrivalled traction through the chatter.
The high-quality OCLV Mountain Carbon frameset is lightweight and stiff and comes equipped with internal storage within the downtube for tools, a tube and nutrition. This model comes equipped with Bontrager Line Elite carbon wheels in a 29” flavour to effortlessly iron out the trail. Lightweight and compliant, these wheels reduce fatigue and enhance acceleration speeds, with the Rapid Drive 108 hub offering lightning-fast engagement.
For this latest revision, the Slash has undergone the lower, longer, slacker treatment to boost stability in the rough. Long reach measurements deliver comfort and confidence when paired with a slash head angle, and the Mino link adjustment offers convenient geometry customisation. A full downtube shuttle guard provides protection from rocks and uplifts, and the epic Shimano XT drivetrain delivers crisp shifting, even under power. A RockShox ZEB Select+ is paired with a supple Thru Shaft RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate that is unique to Trek, promoting traction and speed on rough terrain.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
