Trek Speed Concept 7.5 Triathlon Bike 2014
The Trek Speed Concept 7.5 Triathlon Bike 2014 is the ideal race ready bike ready for triathlons, Ironman events and timetrials. Incredibly fast the Speed Concept is one of the fastest bikes ever to come out of the Trek design studios. The latest version is lighter, faster and more versatile than ever before. Using Kamtail technology, Speed Fin fairings and triathlon specific geometry for a lightening fast, comfortable ride.
The new frame design reduces front cockpit area by a huge 30%. This results in an improved aerodynamic profile, perfect for clawing back those crucial seconds when racing. The low profile front end is further enhanced with the addition of integrated Bontrager Direct-Mount aerobars. These stylish bars are lightweight and adjustable for the optimum aerodynamic position yet do not impede comfort or the ability to deliver power to the pedals.
500 Series OCLV carbon is the basis for the frame, lightweight and precisely manufactured to provide a very high quality finish to the frame.
The frameset features internal cable routing. This keeps the cables out of sight, enhancing aerodynamics, improving gear shifting and brake performance, whilst allowing easy access to install and maintain cables.
Trek's Speed Concept 7.5 Triathlon Bike 2014 is one fast bike, made even quicker with the headtube designed using KVF, Kammtail Virtual Foil shaping. This technology has also been used in the fork.
KVF has been extensively developed so it bends in response to the angle of the typical crosswind, this allows the frame to slice through and be more stable in strong winds.
The invisible brakes added to the aerodynamic, speed focused design and leave the seatstays clear for a clean and fast look.
The addition of full foiled forks, minimises drag and with dropouts moulded from carbon fibre, results in a very light and laterally stiff set of forks, perfect for pin sharp handling.
Aerodynamics, practicality and speed are all catered for with the Speed Fin, providing an aerodynamic fairing whilst also improving rear brake performance. For long triathlons, Ironman events and training a Bontrager Integrated Speed Storage device can be fitted to store all you vital nutritional needs securely in one place. This device has been tested and was found to be more aerodynamic with it attached than without.
Bolts on the top tube allow Bontrager and XLab specific storage boxes to be attached.
Hydration can be seamlessly integrated into the handlebar setup. Narrow enough to attach a horizontal drinking system with ease.
The BB90 bottom bracket is wide and provides a light and stiff basis for ultimate power transfer to the pedals.
Featuring a DuoTrap system. This innovative computer system provides aerodynamic, discrete and reliable speed, distance and cadence readings when paired up to an ANT enabled device.
Shimano's rapid shifting, reliable and smooth Ultegra 11-speed groupset has been added as well as Bontrager Race TLR wheels with Bontrager Aero skewers that mirror the frame shape for ultimate aerodynamic efficiency.

Technical Specification
Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. Visit our Bike Assembly page to see how you assemble your new bike once you receive it.
All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
