Cervelo Caledonia Ultegra Disc Road Bike 2022
Cervelo’s Caledonia Ultegra Disc Road Frameset is a fantastic choice for a rapid, mile-munching, all-conditions machine. The carbon frame has been designed to combine speed and comfort, with a stiff bottom bracket for excellent power transfer and efficiency but still offers plenty of compliance to iron out any imperfections in the road’s surface. Whilst it is still billed as a race bike by Cervelo, the geometry is a little more relaxed than many road bikes making it the perfect companion for longer rides and races. Hidden mudguard mounts and clearance for 34mm tyres further cement the bike’s versatility, with the mounts on the top tube giving the potential to easily add a bento box for long-distance nutrition.
The ever-reliable 11-speed Ultegra groupset includes a wide-range cassette that is ideal for long, hilly routes whilst the hydraulic disc brakes add confidence and security when descending whatever the weather. Also ideal for mixed weather rides, the DT Swiss E1850 23 Spline wheelset is shallow enough not to get pushed around in blustery conditions and can be set up tubeless for increased comfort and puncture protection.
