The sealed bearings also make for a reliable ride, preventing grit and moisture having any negative implications on the wheels performance or longevity.

Description

The Mavic Aksium Wheelset provides an all year round, do it all package, ideal for summer rides and winter training alike. The wider rim profile ensures greater grip and rolling efficiency, creating a more comfortable, dynamic riding experience. Furthermore, the rim's UB Control braking track increases durability and braking performance in both wet and dry conditions.

Straight pull, bladed spokes add some aerodynamics, while the 20 hole spoke count on both the front and the rear wheel keep the wheels both strong and light. The FTS-L steel freewheel is 9/10/11-speed compatible and is ready for use with SRAM or Shimano cassettes. Campagnolo cassettes can be used, but a Campagnolo freewheel must be purchased separately.
