With Mavic's Ksyrium range catering for the more avid, committed rider, looking to get around quicker and travel further, their latest addition to the range looks to offer the disc rider with a reasonable option for solid winter riding. The Mavic Ksyrium Disc Centre Lock Clincher Wheelset 2017 with it's aluminium rim and hub make use of high strength straight pulled spokes, arranged in a 24/24 split between front and rear, ensuring that you can forge on in confidence of tackling all that the road might throw at you.
Benefitting from an internal rim width of 17mm for low rolling resistance and a rim depth of 24mm for improved aerodynamic performance, this wheelset is compatible with Shimano/SRAM 10/11 speed cassettes, but can be converted for use with Campagnolo by use of separately available parts.
Disc brake specific, and making use of sealed cartridge bearings for low maintenance, this wheelset can be used with a 6 bolt with a seperately available adapter or with centre lock style rotor disc as supplied. Making use of a low friction FTS-L steel freewheel housed in an aluminium hub, this package tips the scales at just 1890 grams.
