I bought these as a little Christmas present to myself. They've made a real difference to my rides - my pedalling is definitely more efficient and I'm getting no stones (or water) inside the shoes. They are easy to clean and dry out quickly as well. Thoroughly recommended. NB I ended up getting two sizes bigger than usual (European scale).

Shimano GR7 MTB Shoes
Designed for use with flat pedals, the Shimano GR7 MTB Shoes have a rubber outsole with a smoother central section for the pins to bite into and more deeply treaded toe and heel for traction off the bike. The mesh upper is both breathable and fast-drying, with a durable toecap for extra protection and a soft cuff to prevent dirt and grit from getting into the shoe. A tab on the tongue keeps the laces tidy and out of the chain.

Reviews
Very happy with these shoes not to padded like 5.10 means in wet conditions dry quicker good grip sole bit stiff from new but it will be softer after some used.

Hello, He would most likely require a 42eu, however, it would be best to get him to try them for size first. Many Thanks Liam
About Shimano
Shifting the way the world rides.
From a single Osaka workshop in 1921, Shimano has grown into the world's most influential component maker. The brand's relentless engineering — Dura-Ace, Ultegra, GRX, XTR — has shaped the way the world shifts, brakes and rides, on the road and off it.
Shimano's flagship groupset, Dura-Ace, has been the benchmark for top-level road components for more than five decades. Every refinement that lands on Dura-Ace eventually shapes the entire Shimano range, all the way down to entry-level drivetrains.
