With racing in its blood, the Cinelli Vigorelli Steel Road Frameset offers the snappy handling and explosive acceleration required for competitive criterium races. Sharing the same geometry, design and performance as the Vigorelli track frame ridden by Team Cinelli Chrome at global events including the notorious Red Hook Crit, this frame has proven itself to be a durable, stylish and above all, fast, option.
Utilising a Columbus Thron frame construction, the ride is stiff and responsive, whilst remaining comfortable thanks to the supple nature of steel. The Columbus Futura Carbon Monocoque fork compliments the frame perfectly, reducing the weight whilst offering the precise, direct steering necessary for navigating tight, twisty courses at maximum velocity. The carbon fibre construction also dampens any unwanted road feedback, further increasing comfort levels for those looking to spend a little longer aboard their Vigorelli.
Whilst this frames design has originated from a race bike, Cinelli have still made the necessary tweaks to ensure comfort and efficiency for everyday road riding too. The frame's rear stays have been adapted to accommodate wider 28c tyres, boosting grip and comfort whilst simultaneously reducing rolling resistance for increased speed. The frame can also be set up as a 1X or with a traditional double groupset thanks to the removable 35mm band on front derailleur mount. Regardless of the groupset chosen, Cinelli have ensured great aesthetics thanks to the internally routed cable design.
All in all, the Cinelli Vigorelli Steel Road Frameset is a versatile offering, with race performance at its heart. This intuitive combination of a race-focussed geometry and practical features mean the Vigorelli is a great all-rounder, perfect for a Saturday club run, followed by Sunday's criterium race.
