The highly successful partnership between Mapei and Colnago of the '90s and early 2000s brought numerous professional wins, and this Colnago C64 Road Frameset displays the colourful cubed design in all its glory. The sloping geometry is racy and aggressive and the C64 has come about following two years of research and development to bring small but significant changes from its C60 predecessor. Completely hand-built in Italy, the carbon construction has a UD (unidirectional) finish that shaves around 200 grams from the weight, and the fork has been completely redesigned to improve comfort, stiffness and ride quality.

Across the frame, the head tube is now thinner, with a shape that increases side stiffness. The downtube is narrower in the lower part to better match the rear triangle, and the bottle cage area is recessed, both improving torsional stiffness and keeping your bidon tucked away out of the wind. With a one-piece seat tube and seat lug, weight is further cut, and the integrated seat clamp keeps things sleek. Asymmetrical chainstays improve power transfer and the dropouts are fully integrated. This frameset is compatible with both mechanical and electronic groupsets and cables are routed internally. With a tyre clearance of 28mm you can benefit from faster rolling and a smoother ride.
