Tern Quick Haul D8 Electric Cargo Bike
The Quick Haul D8 Electric Cargo Bike from Tern offers a simple and convenient way to ditch the car for local trips, whether that is the daily commute or the weekly shop, helping to save money and the environment in the process.
The sturdy aluminium frame has a total weight limit of 150kg, and the Bosch Motor provides 270% assistance (up to 15.5 mph / 25 km/h), so large loads can be carried with ease. With a 400Wh battery, the bike’s range is up to 105km depending on terrain, cargo and which of the assistance modes are used.
Both the handlebar and saddle height are very quick and easy to adjust so that the one-size bike can fit different riders and it is compatible with Tern’s plethora of accessories so that it can be used for carrying almost anything. The integrated rack also doubles as a vertical stand, so the bike can be stored upright taking up less space.
The 8-speed Shimano drivetrain is very reliable, with the gear shifts operated from handlebar-mounted trigger shifters and the powerful hydraulic disc brakes easily keep the bike under control, even when fully laden. The Schwalbe Big Apple tyres are wide enough to offer a good level of comfort and cushioning when riding on poorly surfaced roads and the reflective sidewalls help alert any traffic approaching at an angle. A kickstand, lights and mudguards are all included with the bike, so it is ready to roll straight away, whatever the time of day or weather.
