Eurobike Show 2018

Day Two Highlights

Taking a closer look at Eurobike 2018, for our second day, we headed to a component manufacturer, a Sagan inspired sunglass brand, a bike care expert and a company that are focused on delivering power. Read on to see what caught our eye.

100% Sagan Edition Sunglasses Range

Launched in early June by 100%; the Sagan Edition Sunglasses range has been specifically developed with a unique design to match the World Champion's unique character. The sunglasses not only have a Flash Gold Mirror multi-layered lens, but also the frame colour to match. Three lines are available; the Speedtrap, Speedcraft and S2.

Rotor 13-speed Uno Groupset cassette

Rotor 13-speed Uno Groupset

A world first, Rotor have jumped straight to a 13-speed groupset with this Uno 1x system. A wide-range of cassettes are available to suit road and gravel riding. Constructed from two pieces; the larger sprockets are made from aluminium, while the smaller are strengthened with steel. Both are CNC machined using single pieces of metal to reduce weight and increase strength.

Rotor 13-speed Uno Groupset Rear Derailleur

The addition of a 13th sprocket closes the gap in shifting that is an issue with 12-speed cassettes. As the popularity of 1x systems increases in the mountain bike and gravel world, it’s still fairly rare on road bikes. Increasing reliability, the clutch style rear derailleur reduces the risk of dropping your chain.

Muc-Off Indoor Training Series

Muc-Off

Muc-Off have brought a wide range of new products to Eurobike this year.

Branching out into turbo training accessories, the Indoor Training Series is made to protect your bike from the effects of highly corrosive sweat. The Sweat Protect works to drive out moisture and not only prevent corrosion but actually remove it. An Anti-bacterial Equipment Cleaner gets rid of germs. Both are safe for use on carbon, aluminium, stainless steel, bar tape and vinyl.

Muc-Off Eurobike 2018 stand

The Athlete Performance Range has added a women’s specific chamois cream, pH balanced to suit the needs of female riders, while the eBike range has been developed to keep electronic componentry safe during cleaning and maintenance. In addition to this, you can protect your rotors with the Disc Brake Covers. Neat and easy to use, they will eliminate the risk of contaminated pads.

Muc-Off No Puncture Hassle Tubeless Sealant

The No Puncture Hassle Tubeless Sealant is super light and performs in the toughest conditions. Making this product unique is the UV technology, with the inclusion of the torch, which means you can shine it on the tyre for quick and easy puncture detection. The pouch fits straight over your Presta valve to minimise mess and wastage.

Giro Aether MIPS Helmet

Giro Aether MIPS Helmet

Blending safety and performance, Giro's latest offering is the Aether MIPS Road Helmet. Striking aesthetics are combined with large vents, while the redesigned safety system allows for deep internal airflow channels.

Revolutionary new MIPS Spherical is the future of head protection. The plastic-plane has been replaced with two layers of EPS foam so the MIPS system sits between these layers rather than against the head. This results in increased comfort and exceptional cooling.

Stages Cycling Dash L50 gps cycling Computer

Stages Cycling Dash

Stages Cycling have launched three new Dash computers, two advanced GPS models, the L50 and M50, and the entry-level Dash L10.

The largest of the three, the L50 features Stages’ new EverBrite hi-res colour screen that is easy to read in all conditions and with a low power consumption won’t kill your battery. Ease of use is a highlight, and you can take it out of the box and start riding with power and heart rate straight away.

There are many ways to attach the device to your bike and the computer can be oriented in either landscape or portrait modes. GPS mapping includes base maps and Stages maps are developed to be cyclist friendly, placing emphasis on cycling rather than driving routes.

Stages Cycling Dash M50 GPS Cycling Computer

Smaller and lighter, the Dash M50 is packed with the 95% of the same features found on the L50, with its choice of functions making it perfect for riders looking for a more minimal design.

Both the L50 and M50 will pair with all your training sensors, via ANT+ or Bluetooth, and integrate fully with Stages Cycling Power Meters and the Link training platform.

Stages Dash L10 GPS Cycling Computer

A 24-30 hour battery life, a large, clear monochrome screen and basic course tracking make the Dash L10 a great entry level cycling computer. Easy to set up, it still includes advanced workout features and pairs with your power meter.
