MET Inferno UL Road Helmet

In addition to its striking looks, the MET Inferno UL Road Helmet offers a supreme level of ventilation and protection thanks to its Ultimate technology strengthening fibre and In-Mould construction.

Developed exclusively in MET's Italian laboratory, In-Mould construction involves the fusing together of two key parts of the helmet's shell, the protective polystyrene and the polycarbonate exterior shell. This construction technique provides better shock absorption that the traditional twin shell method while also improving the weight to volume ratio; making this a supremely protective helmet without the weight penalty to match.

Combining with the In-Mould construction is MET's Ultimate technology. This consists of a composite material that is used to insert fine layers at strategic points of the shell before the polystyrene and polycarbonate parts are fused. Ultimalite fibre strengthens the structure to which it is applied to such an degree that it is possible to lower the density of the materials used. This means a lower helmet weight without altering the shock absorption capacity.

MET's flagship retention system, the Safe-T Advanced, has been incorporated into the helmet's shell for a reduction of weight and a larger cradle surface area for a more all-encompassing fit. The micro-adjustment dial allows for two millimetres of adjustment per click so you get a precise and comfortable fit. The added bonus of a four-step vertical fit gives better cranial protection.

The Inferno's internal padding is also formulated to boost comfort. The Cocoon padding system increases the surface area contact between the helmet and your head, which decreases surface tension and pressure-point build up.
